Natural Hair Deep Conditioning Routine

Natural Hair: My Deep Conditioning Routine!

Hey Guise! Welcome to my natural hair deep conditioning routine. I am so glad your eyes were wandering today, otherwise you wouldn’t have ended up here. I am pretty rough with my hair (working on that), so I do deep condition twice a month. It used to be once a month, but now my hair is magenta so I do a little extra. I have been using these same products for awhile now and it works just as good with my colored hair. I also don’t have any product in after I rinse, this is just to show what it looks like after I deep condition.

If your too lazy to watch the video that’s ok because I’ll also write about the steps I took down below.

STEP 1: CREATE CONCOCTION
  • I wash my hair every week, so my hair is usually 1 week old when I do my deep condition. I only deep condition twice a month.
  • My deep conditioning concoction consists of (add each product based on your own judgement):
  • Mix it.
STEP 2: WASH HAIR
  • To wash my hair I usually use the pomegranate cleansing conditioner from Matrix Biolage.
  • I also condition with anything I have on hand, for this particular day I used Tresemme Moisture Rich Conditioner.
STEP 3: SECTION HAIR/ APPLY CONCOCTION
  • I didn’t really detangle when I washed my hair because I forgot to do it, so I detangled as I went.
  • I parted my hair into four sections to make things easier and to evenly distribute my concoction.
  • While applying the product, I finger detangled my hair at the same time.
  • After detangling, I flat twisted my hair to prep for heat conditioning.
STEP 4: APPLY HEAT
  • For this step, you will need a hair dryer with a hood detachment.
  • I used a detachment from sally’s and attached my blow dryer to it.
  • I let this sit for about 20 minutes.
  • You can just let it sit, you do not need heat if you don’t have the equipment already.
STEP 5: RINSE HAIR
  • After about 20 minutes, rinse your hair.
  • I rinse in warm water. Apparently hot isn’t good and I don’t like the cold so warm works for me.
  • After that is completed, you can now do whatever you like.
  • Deep conditioning has been completed.

TADA ALL DONE

See you next time guise!
